Descrição
Resumo:To analyze the effectiveness and safety of drug therapy in elderly patients with hypertension and diabetes mellitus who use medications provided by the basic health unit, aiming to identify improvements in prescription practices and therapeutic management. The literature review will be conducted using scientific databases such as PubMed, Scielo and LILACS, covering articles published in the last ten years. Cohort studies, clinical trials, systematic reviews and clinical guidelines focused on drug therapy in elderly patients with hypertension and/or diabetes mellitus will be included. Inclusion criteria involve publications in Portuguese, English or Spanish, which address the context of basic health units or similar. Based on the findings, recommendations will be proposed to improve clinical practice and health policy in basic units, directly benefiting patients and reducing complications associated with these diseases.
