| Resumo: | On behalf of the Editorial Team and the Scientific Editorial Board of Serviço Social & Saúde, we express our homesickness and sadness for the loss of the social worker, professor and researcher Dirce Koga, on October 29, 2021. In this difficult moment of farewell, it is fundamental to express the deep gratitude and recognition for the importance of her life and work, whose legacy lives on through the indispensable contribution to science, to social policy, and to the professional training of the Social Service and the various professions that have challenged themselves, throughout history, to decipher the expressions of the social issue in order to understand its multiplicity of dimensions, aiming to transform the multiple forms of social and territorial inequalities in Brazil and beyond. |
