Síntese, caracterização e aplicação de compostos contendo oxiânions de selênio
This work describes the synthesis and structural characterization of five new coordination compounds containing, as an inorganic ligand, the selenite and hydrogen selenite anion. The compounds [Zn4(μ-SeO3)2(μ4-SeO3)2(bipy)4]·11H2O (1) and [Zn4(μ-SeO3)2(μ4-SeO3)2(phen)4]·9H2O (2) are molecular while...

| Sumario: | This work describes the synthesis and structural characterization of five new coordination compounds containing, as an inorganic ligand, the selenite and hydrogen selenite anion. The compounds [Zn4(μ-SeO3)2(μ4-SeO3)2(bipy)4]·11H2O (1) and [Zn4(μ-SeO3)2(μ4-SeO3)2(phen)4]·9H2O (2) are molecular while [Zn(μ-HSeO3)2(bipy)]n (3), [Zn(μ-HSeO3)2(phen)]n (4) and [Co(μ-HSeO3)2(bipy)]n (5) are polymeric. The compounds were obtained from a solvothermal system and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, elemental analysis (EA), high resolution mass spectrometry, infrared (IR) spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and, for some of them, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy analysis was performed. Compounds 1, 4 and 5 were tested as photosensitizers of TiO2 for H2(g) production. The compounds 4 and 5 showed promising results. The application is of great value due to the search for renewable, accessible and non-polluting energy sources. |
