| Resumo: | The article seeks to contribute to an in-depth understanding, within cyberspace and cyberculture, of the phenomenon of intersectional overlapping of social markers of difference – focusing especially on the individual and social condition of race –, in the conformation of digital vulnerabilities and the resulting material and symbolic violence. This literature survey focuses on the critical analysis of works and authors who, since the 1990s, have been discussing the establishment of connections between these indicators. Intersectional approaches to the understanding of digital abysses corroborate the representations of Black individuals and collectives, pointing to the needs and urgency of the struggles to overcome the dehumanization, silencing, non recognition, and social suffering imposed on stigmatized subjects. |
