| Resumo: | This article aims to present results of researches carried out from the Extension Project Topics in Anti-Racist Education, an extension action that provided training to teachers, employees and students both from the external community and from the Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) – Câmpus Alvorada to practice a anti-racist education. Anchored in Law 10,639, having Afro-Latin American Studies as the main field of study (Andrews, 2007; Gelado e Secreto, 2016; Andrews; De la Fuente, 2018), taking as a starting point texts from Brazilian literature by black writers, to know, Maria Firmina dos Reis, Carolina Maria de Jesus, Eliane Alves Cruz, Conceição Evaristo, Cidinha da Silva, Ana Maria Gonçalves, Mirian Alves, Lia Vieira, Adriana Ortega, Giselle Maria and Débora Garcia. The project was carried out in ten weekly two-hour online meetings, mediated by network technologies, such as the Google Classroom and Google Meet applications. The project emerged as a tool for implementing an action plan against racism in educational institutions. The project had 80 regular participants, 62% of whom were black, 63% with higher education and 71.3% teachers from municipal and state schools in several Brazilian states. Several professionals reported changes in educational practices based on the knowledge obtained. We also had the participation of three scholarship holders from the Technical High School who developed bibliographical research of a qualitative nature related to the topics worked on. The results of these surveys are presented in this work. |
