Descripción
Sumario:The present study provides an approach to the diffusion of innovation in Federal Higher Education Institutions - IFES, in the Northeast Region, based on the mapping of intellectual property registration. To this end, bibliographical and documentary research was carried out, with a descriptive nature and a qualitative approach. Data collection took place through an online search on the website of the National Institute of Industrial Property - INPI, where the number of patent applications filed by IFES was verified. As a result, it was possible to identify that all States in the Northeast have patent applications and/or deposits with the INPI, with the State of Paraíba being the highlight in terms of quantity, with a total of 1,117 processes distributed between the UFPB and UFCG institutions, demonstrating its potential for transferring technology and innovation to the production sector.
