| Sumario: | Due to the expansion of digital fabrication laboratories, such as FABLAB’s and Maker Spaces, it is important the discussion and future worry about the waste generated by these labs. This way, the objectives of the present paper are 1) to identify the waste generated by them; 2) to distinguish waste process; 3) to describe where the waste is stored until its discard; 4) to classify removal frequency and 5) to exemplify waste managing. The survey took place among eleven Brazilian labs, self-styled FabLab’s and/or Maker Spaces. As a result, the research showed that the desire within technological innovations in such workspaces has become inert the discussion and creation of a correct ecological profile. The situation turns it necessary the development of a waste managing model that is specific ENSUS – Encontro de Sustentabilidade em Projeto – UFSC – Florianópolis – 18 a 20 de Abril de 2018 to digital fabrication labs environments. |
