| Sumario: | The present article has as main objective to accomplish a double and panoramic reading of some of the main images built on Africa and the Africans in certain contexts spreadby a long cutting space-storm, that has beginning in the Classic Antiquity and it finishes its trip in the current days. The incursions for the representations formulated on Other/African allow that shimmer rhythms and different forms in the mental architectures elaborated for the observation and definition from the position occupied by Africa in the Imaginary Western. We cannot forget, however, that any attempt of synthesizing the images and speeches manufactured on the Africans should not ignore the fact that the same ones were not homogeneous along the time, watching the several faces of the multiple contexts in that were manufactured. In that way, we looked for with that exercise to highlight its contours and specific dynamics and the possible existent relationships among the several approached moments. |
