| Resumo: | This paper studies the Capixaba dialect (from the capital of Espírito Santo state, Brazil) using the AMPER (Multimedia Atlas of the Romance Space) methodology. We have recorded two male and two female subjects, born and raised in Vitoria-ES, older than 30 years old, with education up to the fourth grade. Results show that the male speech was not different from the female speech. Different individual strategies were produced in some of the sentences in order to contrast the interrogative and declarative sentences, due to different attitudes, but that do not correlate with the speaker gender. |
