| Resumo: | The Latin-American research on communication remembers an insulated island, indifferent to the great philosophical discussions about communication of the 20th century. Martín-Barbero still thinks according to the model of totalities and hegemonies. Then for him , communication is to interfere socially, to act, and communication process is not placed in the act of TV viewing but on the exchanges that recipient outside does, in her/his communities. Néstor Canclini , working with art and popular culture , is more realistic , he sees consumption as something made with the complicity between citizens and the State. He criticizes people who exalts the objects from popular art and forget the men and their social processes. Guillermo Orozco suits Martin-Barbero and criticizes the researches that are occupied with the specific communication act. He is someone who is looking for the resurrection of the agents who will explain the people how to watch “correctly “ on the TV. |
