Sumario:This article comes from a pedagogical practice developed in the discipline of Seminar on Guidance for the Development of Educational Practices and Teacher Training III, of the Geography Degree course at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte – IFRN, campus Natal Central. It discusses the theme of teaching in Climatology, with the objective of contributing to the learning of students based on an action mediated by the assumptions of Meaningful Learning. It is based on authors such as Ausubel (1980), Moreira (2012), Silva et al. (2020), among others. The methodological path that characterized this applied research consisted of procedures both of bibliographic reviews to deepen the themes treated, and of action research, with a qualitative approach and exploratory objective. The results of the study indicate that the use of potentially significant materials during mediations, whether analog or digital, contributed to greater interactions and anchoring, which allowed students to understand not only the importance of climatology, but also the phenomena studied and their socio-spatial reflections.
