| Sumario: | The text brings considerations on the impact of MEC/Brasil, concerning SiSU, that stands for Sistema Unificado de Seleção – upon geopolitics of federal universities campi, with important repercussion for teaching, pedagogical practice, for the inclusion and permanence of students. Based on a PhD investigation, this study had the Federal University of Pampa, UNIPAMPA in Jaguarão, Rio Grande do Sul, a city in the frontier, as an empirical field. By using empiricism, which involved students and professors, this study explores issues related to their experiences, considered by students as positive for their academic resilience. The results show that the impacts of the politics that created SiSU are visible in the academic pedagogy, as well as for their role in that society. The study demands a perspective that includes diversity, with emphasis on sheltering and cultural mediation processes. It suggests that studies following this path might be intensified, in order to optimize academic inclusion in higher education federal schools, which are public ones. |
