Sumario:Despite the relevance of Internet and social media among the youngest population, there have been few studies that focus on the use of Catalan in these contexts. In this paper, we carry out a qualitative analysis of the current situation of the Catalan language on TikTok and Twitch, two platforms that have grown significantly in the past few years. Twitch offers the chance to create specialized content, while on TikTok the use of an array of hashtags, but #estiktokat in particular, ensures the indexicality of the videos. These results show that content creators that use Catalan as their language participate actively in these platforms and have developed strategies in order to ensure that content in Catalan is created and that is accessible to other users.
