Description
Summary:The aim of this study was to show the effect of training VO²max in football players under-17 category in the Railway Sports, allowing the preparation/comparison of the work done within 30 days. The sample consisted of 10 male athletes from they outh category (under 17) who play football in the city of Cariacica-ES, all affiliated with the Spirit Santo's Football Federation. The tests used were body weight, height, body mass index(BMI), body fat% through skin fold triceps (TR), supra-iliac (SI), biceps (BI) and subscapularis (SUB) using the equation Deurenberg (1991), endurance using the Cooper test of 2400 meters. The results demonstrated statistically significant differences between the variables best performance levels in BMI, weight,% Fat, time of arrival in 2400 meters and V02max. We conclude that the 10 athletes had an improvement after the first physical test, and that the work done in the thirty days had great responsibility for the change in performance of athletes, and this wasseen in the second fitness test. The jobwell done and well distributed improves the performance of athletes in football, since heis not interrupted by injury orproblems during the practice sessions.
