| Sumario: | The article analyzes Bolsonaro's speeches during the Covid-19 pandemic. Using the concept of lulz, it was observed that his speeches exhibit four basic characteristics of trolling: ambivalence, spectacle aesthetics, transgression, and humor. Using Van Dijk's sociocognitive method (2018), the analysis sought to understand the use of this type of disruptive message as a political communication strategy. The results indicate that trolling has the potential to influence the actions of dominated groups and endorse the beliefs of Bolsonaro supporters. |
