Sumario:This article aims to present and discuss the prospective vision of the future of the house building supply chain, using the Delphi method. Initially, some key concepts related to the prospective vision and the main characteristics of prospective studies are presented, including different approaches, aims, and methods. The Delphi method is also discussed, focusing on its origins, aims, description, advantages, disadvantages and applicability. Then, the prospective study on the Brazilian house building supply chain using Delphi method is described. A detailed description of the research method adopted is presented, including the preparation of the questionnaire, its application, and the data processing and the analysis of results. Finally, an evaluation of Delphi method and the approach for prospective studies adopted is presented, and some recommendations for further studies are made.
