| Sumario: | Introduction: The increase in the elderly population and chronic diseases in recent decades has driven the growth of home care services, which is health care provided in the home environment. This is due to the specific needs of the elderly and patients with chronic illnesses, who often need to receive care in the comfort of their homes and close to their families, avoiding abandonment. Objective: to analyze, through literary basis, the main challenges faced in nursing care, in the care provided to patients who require Home Care. Methodology: This is a literary review with content analysis. Results: The design of the studies included in the literary review consists of a total of 05 articles described and synthesized according to their characteristics regarding the title of the article, journal of publication and year of publication, objectives and results.
