Importância do vírus da leucemia felina na linfomagênese: revisão

| Sumario: | Feline Leukemia virus (FeLV) is an oncogenic retrovirus often related to lymphoma in domestic cats. The main mechanism by which FeLV induces neoplasia is through somatically acquired insertional mutagenesis, and the integrated provirus can activate proto-oncogenes or disrupt a tumor suppressor gene. The major proto-oncogene altered by FeLV is c-myc. This review aims to elucidate one of the main mechanisms by which FeLV is associated with lymphoma in domestic cats. |
