Cultulinguistic studies the relations be-tween culture and linguistics of a people or ethnic group. The present research aims at analyzing and discussing the attribu-tion of the name in the culture of the Bakongo of Angola. Itis a bibliographical research that the search for and collectionof information from parents, grandparents and elders sought tounderstand the meanings that the name carries. After analysisit was concluded that the name carries elements of the culturein addition to transmitting a Bakong sociocultural identity. |
