| Sumario: | The present article is part of a reflection that is being done about the social conflicts that have been “potentiated” from the creation of the “Complexo Madeira” [Wood Complex] Project. Therefore, it consists in analyzing the governmental politics and projects installed in Rio Madeira [Wood River] region, affecting the lives of different social agents. This project extends through all Rio Madeira channel, from the Bolivian border, passing through the state of Rondônia (Brazil) to the Amazon. I examine the social transformations that occur in this region and the struggles and resistance towards such attacks. |
