Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this work was the evaluation of two structural steel and concrete composite beams systems, both using cold-formed steel box-beams. In the first system the slab was constituted by a thin thickness concrete layer over autoclaved cellular concrete panels and for shear connectors were used U cold-formed profile. In the secondsystem it has been used a composite slab with steel deck profile; for shear connectors were used tubular rivets with inner thread and bolt hexagonal head. Evaluation on push out tests results to determine the connectors behavior and resistance and also full scaled composite beams tests under service limit and ultimate limit states were made.Statistical analysis, using proper multiple regressions, were used, allowing specific steel-concrete composite beams with cold-formed profiles design method proposals, based on Brazilian Standards. The obtained results demonstrate that the composite beams with cold-formed profile developed in the present study can be used in systems of floors of residential constructions, showing satisfactory structural acting, especially the up to seven-story low cost buildings developed in the research at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, whose constructive systems were adopted by COHAB-MG and CDHU-SP (Brazilian companies aiming to provide low cost residential).
