Descripción
Sumario:This study is justified by the fact that the coffee sector is a strong player in the economy, occupying fifth position in the ranking of most produced and exported commodities. The purpose of this study was to identify the cost variables of the conilon coffee culture that registered significant differences between cities in the main producing regions of the country, in the period from 2016 to 2018. The research is quantitative, documentary, and descriptive. For analysis, we used the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and the Scott-Knott test to compare means. The results showed that the state of Espírito Santo, the second largest producer in the country, presents, in general, higher costs for the cultivation of conilon coffee, and the lowest costs were registered by the analyzed cities of Rondônia. Labor was the item with the highest representation in total costs, with a value well above the others, followed by fertilizers, also with significant values compared to the total cost of production of conilon coffee. It was found that production costs are statisticallydifferent between the cities analyzed, and the variables with greater variability in their averages were: pesticides, machine depreciation, crop exhaustion and expected remuneration on the crop. This article can contribute to the knowledge of costs in conilon coffee culture among the cities surveyed, to help producers to carry out an adequate cost management to achieve superior profitability.
