Description
Summary:The Covid-19 pandemic made explicit, in the world the inequalities in the health sector, a decisive factor to drive the development of healthtechs. In this context, this study aims to characterize the profile of Brazilian healthtechs companies that received venture investment funds as of the year 2018, based on national sector intelligence reports. Methodologically, a research was conducted with a qualitative approach, of exploratory and descriptive nature. The main results point out that almost 60% of Brazilian healthtechs have already received some type of investment. However, only 14% of these startups stopped receiving investments due to the difficulty in finding a potential investor. Thus, this study provided an opportunity for some contributions at the theoretical level, highlighting the lack of research that addresses the perspective of investments in healthtechs, especially nationally.
