| Sumario: | Geography teaching faces challenges which require strategies that promote more meaningful and contextualized teaching. School cartography is an effective agent and means, contributing to the representation and understanding of space and geographic education. The work presented here aimed to develop a proposal for a digital School Atlas as a strategy for teaching Geography in the municipality of Campo Formoso- BA. The construction of this material was divided into four stages: The first, being cabinet I activities, in which preliminary studies were carried out and the thematic maps were created. Next, the field visit stage, which involved on-site data collection. Subsequently, in the stage of cabinet activities II, analysis and adjustment of the thematic maps were carried out, which culminated in the final stage of organization and preparation of the School Atlas. It is concluded that the material generated offers an element for the study of campo-formosense Geography, allowing students and teachers to explore the municipality, facilitating the understanding of regional specificities and making it possible to understand the particularities of the studied area, in addition to strengthening the sense of belonging and local identity. |
