| Sumario: | Abstract: This article focuses on the study of the presence of biblical motifs in some stories by Sultana Levy Rosenblatt, such as: “As aventuras de Jonas” (2001), “David e Golias” (2002), “A história da rainha Esther” (2002), “O segredo de Sansão” (2005) and “E Michal amava David” (2006). The writer was born into a family of Sephardic Jews, and in her literary works echoes of the two cultures that constitute her trajectory can be perceived: Amazonian and Jewish Moroccan. Her narratives generally signal biblical traits, dialoguing with an ancient Jewish tradition, which is based on biblical narratives, called Midrash. In this sense, this work seeks to investigate the presence of biblical motifs and how they were inserted into the referenced works, that is, how they were thematized, taking into consideration the comments by Raymond Trousson (1988), Wolfgang Kayser (1976), and Rifca Berezin (1997), among others. |
