Sumario:This paper shows that in the second edition (1787) of the Critique of Pure Reason Kant deprives imagination of a lot of its former (1781) attributes, and that this modifi cation has left its damaging effects in his third Critique of Judgment. In fact, this paper argues that a original and authentic Kantian esthethique would be possible only when the former Kantian conception of imagination be restored.
