| Sumario: | The growing and accelerated use of automation technologies with Artificial Intelligence for the treatment and analysis of data raises a growing concern about the regulations around the privacy and use of this data. It aimed to identify works related to the regulation of Artificial Intelligence for the treatment of data, in the context of Information Science. To this end, a systematic search on the topic was carried out in the databases in the area. The bibliographic survey was the basis for a quantitative analysis of this research and allowed a qualitative analysis of the main publications found. It was found that publications on the subject within the context of Information Science are recent and, for the most part, published in Brazil, despite there being a worldwide concern about the regulation of the use of data by companies and institutions. It was also possible to identify a growing concern with regulations in the use of automated processes that use Artificial Intelligence in the collection and, mainly, in the processing of data, justified by the massive amount of data collected (Big Data), and by the expressive improvement of the results generated by these technologies. This research indicates that there is a need for improvements in regulations dealing with privacy and data protection, expanding their scope to technologies that use Artificial Intelligence, taking into account the security, transparency and ethics of the data processed, without interfering with the advancement technology provided by these technologies. |
