Sumario:Purpose: To assess the flexural strength of three dual polymerization resin cements in comparison with one autopolymerizing resin cement and one zinc phosphate cement. Methods: Eight specimens (4x4x30mm) were made of each tested material: three dual polymerization resins cements, RelyX ARC (3M), Enforce (Dentsply) and Dual Cement (Vigodent); one autopolymerizing resin cement, Cement-Post (Angelus); and a zinc phosphate cement (DFL). The three-point flexural strength test was performed using a universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 0.5mm/min. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey test. Results: The mean values of flexural strength were 76.80MPa for RelyX ARC, 79.40MPa for Enforce, 83.43MPa for Dual Cement, 51.87MPa for Cement-Post, and 8.96MPa for zinc phosphate cement. The dual polymerization resin cements did not show significant difference of flexural strength, but they were different from the other cement types. Flexural strength values of autopolymerizing resin cement and zinc phosphate cement were statistically different. Conclusion: Flexural strength was affected by cement type, and the dual polymerization resin cements had the highest values. Key words: Resin cement; dual polymerization; flexural strength
