| Sumario: | Brazil has a large deficit in the public basic sanitation system, especially in relation to water distribution and it quality control. Thus, as a way to minimize part of these problems, this work aims to develop two sensors that measure turbidity and conductivity for monitoring water quality in homes, using an Arduino platform. The sensors were developed with low-cost materials and were installed in three-quarter inch pipes, the tests were done in triplicates and the results obtained were compared, aiming at a similar functioning of the sensors of the same type. Thus, it was possible to determine small variations in turbidity of the water, furthermore the conductivity sensor was able to distinguish the presence of water or air in the pipe, as well as identify sudden variations in the electrical conductivity of the environment, therefore revealing some irregularity in the water supply. |
