description This article seeks to analyze the issue of hunger for dignity in Brazil from an analysis of social control through the economy, as well as the capitalist and neoliberal discourse on economic development. The problem that guides the research can be summarized in the following question: To what extent does economic development following liberal or neoliberal theories affect the poorest population? Based on the data collected from a set of research carried out on the subject in the areas of Law, Anthropology and Sociology, reflected from the bibliography that supports the present study, it becomes possible to affirm that the current development model promotes the poverty, inequality, eliminates rights and dignity itself. The general objective of the text is to evaluate how neoliberal economic development ends up being fed by the misery of the population. The specific objectives of the text, which are reflected in its structure in three sections, are: a) To assess, based on studies already carried out in the field of Law, Anthropology and Sociology, the current state of economic development chosen and implemented in Brazil; b) Clarify how this development increases inequalities; c) Explain the incongruity of such a model. The research method used was the hypothetical-deductive, through the use of bibliographic and documental research technique.

El problema que guía la investigación se puede resumir en la siguiente pregunta: ¿En qué medida el desarrollo económico siguiendo las teorías liberales o neoliberales afecta a la población más pobre? A partir de los datos recabados de un conjunto de investigaciones realizadas sobre el tema en las áreas de Derecho, Antropología y Sociología, reflejados a partir de la bibliografía que sustenta el presente estudio, se hace posible afirmar que el actual modelo de desarrollo promueve la pobreza, la desigualdad, elimina los derechos y la dignidad misma. El objetivo general del texto es evaluar cómo el desarrollo económico neoliberal termina siendo alimentado por la miseria de la población. Los objetivos específicos del texto, que se reflejan en su estructura en tres apartados, son: a) Valorar, a partir de estudios ya realizados en el campo del Derecho, la Antropología y la Sociología, el estado actual de desarrollo económico elegido y aplicado en Brasil; b) Aclarar cómo este desarrollo aumenta las desigualdades; c) Explique la incongruencia de tal modelo. El método de investigación utilizado fue el hipotético-deductivo, mediante el uso de la técnica de investigación bibliográfica y documental.O presente artigo busca analisar a questão da fome de dignidade no Brasil a partir de uma análise do controle social através da economia, bem como do discurso capitalista e neoliberalista sobre o desenvolvimento econômico. O problema que orienta a pesquisa pode ser sintetizado na seguinte pergunta: Em que medida o desenvolvimento econômico seguindo as teorias liberais ou neoliberais afeta a população mais pobre? Com base nos dados levantados a partir de um conjunto de pesquisas realizadas sobre o tema nas áreas do Direito, Antropologia e Sociologia, refletidas a partir da bibliografia que dá sustentação ao presente estudo, torna-se possível afirmar que o atual modelo de desenvolvimento fomenta a pobreza, desigualdade, elimina direitos e a própria dignidade. O objetivo geral do texto consiste em avaliar como o desenvolvimento econômico neoliberal acaba por ser alimentado pela miséria da população.
