Sumario:Research in the field of public educational policy aimed at the adolescent author of an infraction. We sought to investigate and analyze the perception of adolescents deprived of freedom about the role of the school in their life. This is a qualitative research, using the (Auto)biographical methodology, whose data were constructed through document analysis and semi-structured interview. The school experience permeated by exclusion was found, but it was perceived as important for the construction of a life project after leaving the institution.
