Kalah can be used as an important pedagogical resource to contribute to the formalization of mathematical knowledge and highlight the scientific contributions of historically marginalized people. The discussions in this work are based on data collected through Bibliographic Research of an exploratory-descriptive nature. Based on the results, it is concluded that the use of African games, such as Kalah, in teaching Mathematics can contribute to the development of decolonizing teaching practices by legitimizing mathematical and scientific knowledge and practices developed within African culture.Este artículo tiene como objetivo resaltar los aportes del juego Kalah al desarrollo de la enseñanza basada en la perspectiva de la Etnomatemática, con el fin de romper con el currículo eurocéntrico, basado en las Matemáticas desarrollado por los pueblos africanos. Kalah puede utilizarse como un recurso pedagógico importante para contribuir a la formalización del conocimiento matemático y resaltar las contribuciones científicas de personas históricamente marginadas. Las discusiones de este trabajo se basan en datos recopilados a través de una Investigación Bibliográfica de carácter exploratorio-descriptivo. Con base en los resultados, se concluye que el uso de juegos africanos, como el Kalah, en la enseñanza de las Matemáticas puede contribuir al desarrollo de prácticas de enseñanza descolonizadoras, al legitimar los conocimientos y prácticas matemáticas y científicas desarrolladas dentro de la cultura africana.Este artigo tem como finalidade evidenciar as contribuições do jogo Kalah para o desenvolvimento de um ensino pautado na perspectiva da Etnomatemática, de modo a romper com o currículo eurocêntrico, com base na Matemática desenvolvida pelos povos africanos. O Kalah pode ser utilizado como um importante recurso pedagógico a fim contribuir para a formalização dos conhecimentos matemáticos e evidenciar as contribuições científicas de povos historicamente marginalizados. As discussões deste trabalho fundamentam-se em dados coletados por meio de Pesquisa Bibliográfica de cunho exploratório-descritivo.
