| Sumario: | This article discusses some Marxist postulates, in the context of current historiographical debate. Far from being a neutral science, the history of education has always been at the service of certain political goals. We seek an overview of the construction process of dialectical-materialist conception of history. We intend to score some theoretical and methodological issues based on the following questions: The Marxist postulates have something to contribute to understanding the history of education? Social class is a category overcome to study the history of education? Our analysis is grounded in reading some works of Marx, watching them elements that help in this understanding. |
