Sumario:The syphilis is defined as an infectious and systemic disease caused by the bacteria Treponema pallidum. The transferability occurs through sexual contact, organs transplants, or vertical transmission. It is a prevent disease and of easy diagnosis, however, still an important problem of public health because of the high transferability and the often complications is considered. This study had as objectives to analyze the notified cases of congenital syphilis and syphilis in pregnant women in the state of Minas Gerais between 2007 and 2015; to analyze the completeness of the fulfilling of the respective data bases of the Diseases Information System Notification (DISN); to calculate the incidence and to evaluate the temporal evolution of congenital syphilis and syphilis in pregnant women between 2007 and 2015. One is about a transversal, quantitative and retrospective study and also of a time serie analysis. The study it was developed with the use of two secondary data bases of the DISN, provided from State Secretary of Health (SSH)/MG referring to the cases of congenital syphilis and syphilis in pregnant women notified in the state of Minas Gerais between 2007 and 2015. For analysis of the data descriptive statistics was used, calculations of the taxes of detention of syphilis in pregnant women and congenital syphilis incidence and model of polynomial regression for analysis of time trend. The Research Ethics Committe eunder opinion n º 1.777.164 approved this study. In Minas Gerais between 2007 and 2015, it had 4.381 and 8.477 notified cases of congenital syphilis and syphilis in pregnant women, respectively. It was observed that from 2011 the incidence of the infection increased considerably. The detection rate for syphilis in pregnant women ranged from 0.94 to 9.82 and incidence for congenital syphilis from 0.61 to 5.08 per 1,000 live births in the period. In the analysis of the incompleteness of information about notifications was found changeable with blank/ignored registers, making it difficult a detailed evaluation of the cases. It had predominance of young pregnant women, the 20 to 39 years (71.4%), color of medium brown skin (40.6%) and with incomplete basic education (45.9%). The cases had been notified in its majority in 3° trimester of gestation, with clinical classification of the disease as primary and reacting result for the not treponemal test. The adhesion of the partner to the treatment was low in this study (22.0%). The congenital syphilis cases had predominance of the color of medium brown skin (38.7%), age group till to 6 days of life (94.7%) and recent definitive diagnosis for congenital syphilis (95.2%). The minority of the mothers adequately carried through the treatment during the gestation (4.6%). The time series between 2007 and 2015 showed increasing trend (p< 0.05) of 0.98 cases per annum of the incidence of congenital syphilis and 0.99 cases de SP in the state of Minas Gerais from 2008. One concludes that a necessity of improvement in the fulfilling of the records exists so that ignored fields and/or blank if present in lesser ratios raising the quality of the information. The number of cases notified for syphilis in pregnant women and congenital syphilis still is increasing and tends to increase, suggesting that it has necessity of optimization in the assistance to pregnant women and sexual prevention measures, as well as magnifying of the access to the prenatal consultation of quality and searches active of the partners for joint treatment, so that if can reach the goal of eradication of the congenital syphilis.
