| Sumario: | The municipality of Rio de Janeiro needs a unified geodetic network in order to support its fundamental activities of cartographic support and cadastral surveying. This fact is corroborated by the city’s intense growth and human activity, which led to the destruction of many marks implemented throughout the 20th century. In order to consolidate a fundamental geodetic network for the city of Rio, this study proposes implementing 70 leveling references distributed along 7 leveling lines and 4 microcircuits, plus 5 active geodetic stations which would compose a new reference network for the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. After defining the amount and location of geodetic marks, they should be built physically, measured and adjusted in bulk. |
