Descrição
Resumo:This research, in the scope of the visual arts, developed a poetics based on light as materiality to be manipulated by the artist, to compose spaces of light and visualities in exhibition environments. The research differs by relying on studies of enlightenment arising from preoccupations, which the theater constituted to compose the artistic scene, as well as on the works of visual artists, who used light as language. By means of theoretical research and practical experimentation, with objects in situations of light propagation, the research goes through questions that identify the potential of light in order to modify the environment and propose the artist as an object / light manipulator for the production of visuals in different spaces. With this bias, the central focus was the manipulation of light through actions on objects / light, producing and reflecting on works in which light is potentiated as art materiality, in order to broaden the perspectives of the artist's action as a manipulator of light, involved in a poetic process in the context of contemporary art.
