Descripción
Sumario:This study seeks to understand the relationship between ideology and aesthetic autonomy in the thought of Th. Adorno. Initially, we analyze the development of the concept of ideology in the Marxian theory of alienation, where the products appear as autonomous from the reality that originated them. The next chapter discusses Adorno's perspective, according to which, in late capitalism, the concept of ideology relates more to the lack of autonomy of the spiritual products than to the sheer independence from them. In the last chapter, we demonstrate how the autonomy of bourgeois art is presented as a condition for the critic of this new kind of ideology reproduced by the products of the culture industry.
