Resumo:What is the subject of queer theory in Brazil? Who are the abject bodies spoken of and who are the subjects producing this profane knowledge? From the decolonizing proposal of decolonial feminist authors, it is proposed to think queer against hegemonically, what that means to go beyond the criticism of the gender dichotomy and its fixity, to see the other hierarchies founded on colonialism and racism and that dehumanize the subjects because of their race/ethnicity, gender, sexuality and social class, which promote the historic colonization of dissident bodies. By analyzing the reception of queer theory in Latin America and Brazil, its displacements and translations, another decolonized genealogy for queer is suggested. It is concluded that this so-called subversive knowledge does not escape the Eurocentric matrix of knowledge production, reiterating a colonial system of epistemic subjection and silencing dissident corporealities.
