| Sumario: | TV News are the main media for most Brazilians. TV News help in a relevant way showing men and women on an everyday basis, the world surrounding them, not only regarding social, cultural, political and economic aspects but also, in particular, regarding facts which happen daily such as protests and strikes. Taking this into consideration, the aim of this work is to review a previous research we have done 20 years ago, about the decision-making process of journalists on what’s news. The purpose is to show some aspects which are visible these days and which were not in 1997. As a result, we tried to highlight how these changes may interfere in the democracy process. |
