| Sumario: | Interview carried out on May 29, 2023, with the Brazilian humanist geographer, Eduardo Marandola Jr., professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp/Campus Limeira). During the interview, Eduardo Marandola Jr. briefly discussed his personal trajectory and how Humanist Geography reached him. He reflected on the role of the humanist geographer in the 21st century, going through the theme of Environmental Perception studies to the process of strengthening studies in Humanist Geography and the first impacts caused by the phenomenological approach in Brazilian geographic production. Finally, he spoke particularly of the contribution of geographers Yi-Fu Tuan and Lívia de Oliveira to the arrival, dissemination and consolidation of phenomenological studies in Brazilian geography.
