| Sumario: | The 2030 agenda is an important planetary challenge in favor of sustainable development. In Brazil, this challenge is shared with municipalities, which need to adapt such global objectives to the local scale. With this in mind, the National Confederation of Municipalities (CNM) and the Territorial Network Articulation Program of the United Nations Development Program (ART UNDP) signed a partnership in 2016 to develop the project Localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Brazil. The project generated two guides, a virtual page, and the Mandala tool. The objective of this article is to analyze the localization of the SDGs project in Brazil. To this end, the analysis was divided into three stages: contextualizing the CNM's performance in implementing the SDGs in Brazilian municipalities, detailing the aforementioned project, and identifying the indication of territorial governance in the project's products. These are the results of a case study using a semi-structured interview as a collection instrument and its data interpreted through content analysis. This study showed that cooperation and partnerships between different actors and institutions, through territorial governance, represent a strategic alternative to implementing the SDGs. The research data also showed that the project helped in the implementation of the SDGs in the municipalities, highlighting, among others action, clarifications on the content of this agenda, suggested methodology, and measurement tools. Finally, it was evident that the products guide for localization and guide for integration of the SDGs indicate that territorial governance can help in achieving the SDGs. |
