Sumario:In view of the need to expand investments in the country, in the current contextof the Brazilian economy, and understanding the positive effects of investments ininfrastructure, it is relevant to study the multiplier effects of this specific type of investmenton the other sectors of the country’s economy. For this, the present study used the inputoutputmatrix methodology, using data from 2011. The Rasmussen-Hirschman indices, which show the degree of linkage of the economic sectors, were calculated, consideringthat there is a connection both backwards and forwards. The fields of influence were alsopresented for each sector. The results show that the Transportation and Electricity sectorscan be considered strategic for the development of the Brazilian economy.
