Resumo:The objective of the present study was to report the experience of low adherence to therapeutic among hypertensive patients in a primary health care unit in the city of Patos, Paraíba, as well as the adoption of intervention strategies; Methods: As a methodological tool, the Arco of Maguerez was used that provides observation and troubles hooting of existing problems in the middle to the application in reality of hypotheses of solutions. Results: An experience report study was carried out in a primary health care unit, where strategies focused on improvements in therapeutic adherence were discussed. In the meetings, strategies were defined together with the team and applied among hypertensive patients, such as health education measures, encouraging participation in routine consultations with individualized follow-up. Conclusion: It was noticed that a greater number of patients showed interest and participation, and doubts about the disease and its possible complications were clarified, in addition to a higher attendance at routine appointments for follow-up at the unit and frequent home visits by the team, contributing to therapeutic adherence.
