Conclusion: researchers are members of the working class, it would not be up to us, therefore, to be the conservative intellectuals of a class to which we do not belong.Objetivo: provocar pesquisadores e pesquisadoras do campo dos estudos da atividade humana sobre os limites da ciência moderna que obstaculizam a produção de um conhecimento que traduza a raiz dos problemas sociais. Síntese dos elementos do estudo: a canção Queremos Saber de Gilberto Gil foi utilizada como um recurso estilístico para indicar a necessidade do Materialismo Histórico como meio para produzir um conhecimento científico que implique na real e necessária emancipação da humanidade.
