| Resumo: | This article seeks to analyze the extent to which neoliberal governmentality influencesinternational migration. To confirm the hypothesis that the alliance between neoliberalgovernmentality and the capitalist mode of production and its expansion are two of themain responsibles for mobilizing lives around the globe, Michel Foucault’s concept ofgovernmentality will be presented, which means the way to lead lives, its relationship withneoliberalism and regarding neoliberal governmentality, by creating needs and lifestyles, drives transnational mobilities. Secondly, the theories about migration are presented and a historical-structural posture is defended in the analysis of the phenomenon, usingthe notes of Immanuel Wallerstein. Finally, it presents migratory scenarios, in whichneoliberal governmentality has not only mobilized lives, but also made them precariousand vulnerable. The research is bibliographic and documentary. |
