Resumo:This article traces the analysis of the construction of heroism in the figure of Bernardo Sayão. It started from the hypothesis that the narrative itself, added to the structures, in which the character was inserted, contributes to the construction of a profile that recalls the achievements of the great figures of the past. Sayão's heroism emerges from a period marked by profound transformations in the interior of Brazil, marked by projects such as the National Agricultural Colony of Goiás (NACG), the Belém-Brasília highway and the construction of Brasília, which would boost the nation's development. Supported by the theory of history, biography, documental analysis including the speeches given from political and impression divisions, in addition to the crossing and comparison of data, it sought to highlight the process of construction of this heroism, a recognition of actions and the data of collective actions that attest a similarity of Sayão's deeds to the other figures who preceded him.
