Descrição
Resumo:This text, based on discussions on Professional and Technological Education, intends to problematize the historical process of implantation of technological education in Brazil, especially of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. For this, it searches in categories of geopolitics and political geography for elements that explain the scenarios, actors and agents in the construction process of higher and technological education in Brazil, through disputes for the hegemony of/in the Brazilian State, in a space-time perspective long lasting. The research is based on the collection of bibliographic data, with textual analysis. The results indicate that the construction and consolidation of technological education in Brazil, especially the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology, contributed to the democratization of scientific and cultural knowledge, aimed at different social groups.
