| Sumario: | This article is an analysis of the discourses that seek to define and legitimize data-driven journalism. We applied Depth Hermeneutics to analyze 16 self-referential institutional texts published by DDJ vehicles from different countries. In addition, we interviewed eight DDJ specialists. Our analysis found the three most recurring discourses in this legitimation attempt: the discourse of authority, cyberactivist speeches, and discourse based on the classic values of journalism. |
