| Resumo: | After seeking to establish the fact that the structures of institutions for the treatment of Hansen's disease are normally obsolete, archaic, and foster paternalism and sentimentality, the author proposes a restructuring of these institutions with the end of transforming them into modern hospitals. Basically, the author proposes a division of these institutions into three areas:1. Hospital proper2. Residential area3.
