Descripción
Sumario:With the development of disruptive technologies, new business models emerged, highlighting the Uber business model. This article analyzes the particularities of the service provision, in order to verify if the work relationships established between the drivers and the application give rise to the application of the norms of Labor Law. To this end, it investigates whether business intermediation platforms in the sharing economy work only as a technological tool; or if, simply, they aim to reduce costs and restrict the application of protective norms of Labor Law. Or, even, if it is possible to identify a category of workers that gives rise to new understandings and regulations in the field of Law. We conclude that the development of technology reduces production costs and increases profits, imposing considerable changes in the dynamics of work, without removing the applicability of Labor Law, which must be interpreted with more plasticity.
